PAINTINGS

After graduate school (1994), I called into question what it meant to be an Artist and decided to turn that idea on its head. So, I began making temporary art with non-art materials, that couldn't be bought, wouldn't last, could be made anywhere without a studio, and shown anywhere without a gallery. I succeeded (see Murals, etc.)...but by the mid-2000's I was bored with the lack of complexity in the colors I was using and the infrequency of my site-specific shows. Ultimately, I returned to painting, oil and acrylic, in an ongoing series I call "Heads".
