POST-IT DRAWINGS

My artwork is rooted in daydreaming. My doodles are a visual byproduct of daydreaming. Just after graduate school I got my first office job there at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I was in the midst of questioning what it meant to be an artist, so I took particular pleasure in the idea that I was making art on the job while talking on the phone and getting paid back the money I had given this school for my education. I later showed 900 of these drawings in a 30 by 30 grid as a visual record of my years there. The drawings below were made more recently and were exhibited in a smaller grid, stuck to the wall, with the bottom edge curling upwards.
